Sometimes it seems that way, so many flavors, glazes and fillings, it is like the cake industry has not stopped giving us its new "better" version of wedding cakes. What happened to simplicity? Believe it or not todays guest wish for the taste of the original older style wedding cakes rather than guessing "flavors"of cake they are eat at the wedding. Less is more in this case, finding more and more guests wishing for a more simple cake with interesting decorations and original traditional taste. It is fun going out and looking for the cakery or the best cake in town but brides mostly overlook the smaller shops who don't market in the more bigger magazines but have a more personalized experiences. Planning floral appointment, bakeries tastings, Catering sample trays, locating servers, & scouting for DJ's. Feeling overwhelmed yet? Well some brides just see the glamour of being the bride; not noticing the time and effort it takes to plan the perfect wedding creating the bride-villa seen on local tv shows. The sooner you realize, "you are going to need a planner" the smoother the wedding planning will go. This planner can be family, friends, or a professional; the bridesmaids have their own duties, helping the bride with invitation parties, planning the bridal shower (brides mothers helps), getting everything to the venue and not planning the wedding.
